A multi-award winner, including Best Film and Best Script, at the 2013 Adana Festival, is the autobiographical story of co-director Melik Saraçoğlu and his struggle against blindness, not the best condition for an obsessive film fanatic with an overwhelming ambition to make his first feature film. A childhood disease has left him blind in one eye, and now the other eye is threatened. An operation is followed by an agonising 40-day wait, a period of blindness in which he can address his life so far and his fears, both present and future. But will this 'rehearsal' for a sightless existence turn out to be a performance that will last a lifetime? It all adds up to a delightfully imaginative, often funny, exploration of hopes, dreams and cinema.
